The Carnival Organization of Jacksonville, Inc. (COOJI) presents its annual carnival boatride on August 10, 2013. This year's theme is Masqed De Boat Ride and celebrates the independence of the Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. Team COOJI invites masqueraders to board the Lady St. John at 1501 Riverplace Boulevard starting at 10 p.m., with the ship sailing promptly at 10:30 for a night of eating, drinking and liming on the water. There will also be prizes for the best masquerades.
Selectors for the evening are Rage Kulanji of New York and Kemis D Mixologist from Orlando. Tickets are $25 in advance and will be more at the pier, and can be purchased at Caribbean venues throughout the city, including LaParkan Shipping, Caribbean Sunrise, and Caribbean Connection.
